General Purpose Floor Primer
STOPGAP P131 is a floor primer designed to promote the adhesion of STOPGAP smoothing compounds to a wide range of smooth, non-absorbent surfaces. You can also use it as a general purpose primer for absorbent surfaces to promote adhesion and to prevent unacceptably rapid drying of adhesives and smoothing compounds, essential for achieving a flawless finish. It is has marine approval and is suitable for use with all F. Ball marine applications as part of an IMO system.
Our STOPGAP P131 floor primer is suitable for use over normal underfloor heating systems, making it compatible with new builds and other modern flooring installations. It is green in colour to provide the user with easy visual control and even coverage during the application. It has a drying time of from 20 to 30 minutes at 20°C on absorbent subfloors, and a drying time of from 60 minutes at 20°C on non-absorbent subfloors, providing high-performance with little downtime.
STOPGAP P131 maintains its effectiveness with a shelf life of 12 months in unopened containers stored in good conditions. This makes it a reliable primer for both current and future projects.

STOPGAP P131 AREAS OF USE
STOPGAP P131 should be used on non-absorbent surfaces of STOPGAP waterproof surface membranes, terrazzo, power floated concrete, quarry and ceramic tiles, sound asphalt, epoxy marine primers, well bonded epoxy and polyurethane coatings and minimal existing adhesive residue. It should also be used on absorbent surfaces such as concrete, sand/cement screeds, plywood, hardboard and chipboard.
