Product focus: Stopgap Red Bag
In the latest in our series of product spotlights, we take a look at Stopgap Red Bag general-purpose smoothing compound.
What is it?
A two-component, self-smoothing compound for preparing sound absorbent subfloors, including concrete and sand/cement screeds prior to the installation of new floorcoverings, designed for application between 3-10mm. It is walk on hard from three hours after application and ready to receive floorcoverings from 24 hours.
Where is it used?
In light to medium-duty internal applications – for areas subject to moderate levels of footfall and light wheeled traffic.
What’s different about it?
It is protein-free, allowing it to be used in biologically sensitive areas, such as clinical environments.
Something you might not know about the product:
A 25kg bag of Stopgap Red Bag mixed with five litres of clean water will cover approximately 4.8m² at a thickness of 3mm.
The product can also be pump applied up to a thickness of 6mm.
