New Technical Service Manager

Jason Tatton has been promoted to the role of technical service manager.

He succeeds Stephen Boulton, who retired at the end of last year after a 40-year career with the company.

Jason will now lead the company’s industry-leading Technical Service Department, which provides expert advice on how to get the most out of F. Ball’s subfloor preparation products and adhesives, as well as being responsible for the testing that ensures they will consistently perform as required and goes into producing its Recommended Adhesives Guide (RAG^®).

Jason brings a wealth of knowledge to the position gained through nearly 25 years in the flooring industry. He joined F. Ball in 2019 as a technical service officer, having previously managed his family’s flooring business, and has since provided expert advice to flooring professionals on best practice in subfloor preparation and floorcovering installation. He also assists F. Ball’s regional technical representatives in producing reports advising on the best course of action for specific flooring projects.

His expertise has seen him regularly advise on technical aspects of flooring installation in features for flooring industry publications.

When he is not leading the technical team, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife Kristy and their four children. His hobbies include walking, travelling, and sport, in particular football, and he coaches the football team of one of his sons.
