REACH regulations: no change for F. Ball

F. Ball products unaffected by changes to regulations for products containing diisocyanates.

F. Ball Stopgap F77 Resin Application

All of F. Ball’s products, including adhesives and waterproof surface membranes, are free from diisocyanates: chemicals that are considered hazardous to health and used in the manufacture of some polyurethane products.

From 24 August 2023, REACH* regulations relating to products containing diisocyanates require users of such products to undergo training in their risks, use and handling.

As F. Ball products do not contain diisocyanates, flooring contractors can continue to use them as normal, unaffected by the REACH regulation changes.

*REACH is an EU regulation, which stands for Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals, and was introduced in the UK, where it is known as ‘UK REACH’, on 1 January 2021 under the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, the EU REACH Regulation.
