New Technical Representative
F. Ball has appointed Mike Giles as technical representative for North London, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex regions.
As one of F. Ball’s regional technical representatives, he will provide expert technical advice, training and assistance to flooring contractors, distributors and retailers across the region on best practice in subfloor preparation and floorcovering installation and how to get the most out of F. Ball products. This will include conducting site visits and producing case-specific reports advising on the best course of action for particular flooring projects.
Mike has a long career in the flooring industry working for floorcovering manufacturers and retailers, including, most recently, as commercial area sales manager for a commercial flooring company. He has also previously held the positions of sales manager and account manager at different flooring companies, where he advised customers on solutions to meet their flooring needs.
Commenting on his appointment, he said: “For as long as I’ve worked in the flooring industry, I’ve known F. Ball for its reputation for the highest quality products and best-in-class technical support. I’m looking forward to applying my knowledge to be a part of that.”
Mike and his wife, Laura, have two daughters: Martha (10) and Molly (9). He enjoys spending time with family, taking walks in the forest, going to the gym, running and playing video games.
