This course is offered as a one day or two day course and covers the entire flooring installation process from assessing subfloor types, measuring and controlling subfloor moisture through to selection and application of the correct smoothing compounds and adhesives. Delegates will become more confident in dealing with challenging flooring installations and in identifying the best products to use for specific projects.

The one day course is very hands-on offering the chance to use a wide variety of F. Ball products and includes a tour of the F. Ball production facility. The two day course follows the same programme but provides the opportunity to use a wider range of products.

4 Day Introduction to Subfloor Preparation for Apprentices

Our very popular Apprentice Course is ideal for those who have recently joined the industry and are wanting to learn the basics of subfloor preparation and adhesive selection. The course is heavily focussed on best practice techniques ensuring that correct applications methods are instilled from the very start. This four day course provides delegates with the opportunity to increase their product knowledge and quickly enhance their skills under the careful guidance of our experts.

3 Day Subfloor Preparation and LVT Flooring Installation Course

The installation of LVT floorcoverings demands quality subfloor preparation and selection of the most appropriate adhesive to ensure the appearance and durability of the floor is second to none.  This course provides delegates with the knowledge and experience to choose the right products for LVT flooring installations with the chance to use a wide selection of products during the course. On many of these three day courses we partner with leading LVT manufacturers who join us to present the floorcovering installation element of the course, offering expert tuition from start to finish.

1 Day Guide to Subfloor Preparation for Flooring Retailers Course

This course is specifically designed for flooring retailers who wish to increase their knowledge and understanding of subfloor preparation and flooring adhesives, in order to more confidently recommend the correct products for their customers. This one day course is presented through a blend of class based learning and hands-on product training to ensure that delegates develop a thorough understanding of the flooring installation process and the importance of good subfloor preparation.

2 Day Women in Flooring Course

Our popular Women in Flooring course is open to any women who work within the flooring industry, in any role, and would like to increase their knowledge of subfloor preparation and adhesive selection. Delegates are actively encouraged to take part in practical product training sessions over the two days and also benefit from the opportunity to network with other women working in flooring related roles. 3 Day Subfloor Preparation and Vinyl Flooring Installation Course

This course is designed for floor fitters wanting to enhance their knowledge and skills in the installation of  sheet vinyl. Initial days cover the identification of the sub floor type along with the identification of moisture and how to control it. Subsequent days cover choosing and applying the correct smoothing compound before applying sheet vinyl to the floor using the correct adhesive.

1 Day Flooring installation for Estimators Course

A course aimed at flooring estimators in which we discuss substrates in detail and investigate the best processes to identify and measure moisture in the sub floor. Scenario based situations are used to show which F. ball System can be used to achieve the perfect floor finish,

F. Ball and Co Ltd Training Course – Full Course Terms and Conditions

  1. These Terms and Conditions, plus a Booking form, constitute the whole of our ‘Agreement’ with you.

Booking

2.1    Training course bookings can be made via our website www.f-ball.com, by telephone or via email to training@f-ball.co.uk

2.2    When you submit to us a booking via one of the methods, this shall be regarded as a request by you to book a training course under these Conditions. Please ensure that the details in the booking are complete and accurate and that you read these Conditions carefully before your Booking is submitted to us.

2.3    As soon as you enrol on the course, you will be sent a booking form on which the full name of the Delegate(s) and any special requirements they may have should be included. Examples such as dietary requirements, mobility access and pregnancy (due to use of certain products during courses) and any relevant health conditions should all be included.

2.4    Failure to provide this information, could result in the cancellation of your place on the course.

2.5       F. Ball training courses are offered only to bona fide flooring contractors, retailers, wholesalers, floorcovering manufacturers and those in related industry roles, as deemed relevant by F. Ball and Co. Ltd. We retain the right to refuse a place on our courses at any time and at our discretion.

Confirmation

3.1    Acceptance of your booking will take place via email once the online registration form has been reviewed.

3.2    Further instructions will then be forwarded via email to confirm the agenda and further details of the course. i.e. start time.

 

 

Accommodation

4.1    Accommodation is not offered by F. Ball and Co. Ltd. Local accommodation is available and suggestions are included in the agenda pack.

Price

5.1    All our training courses are free of charge.

5.2 Lunch and refreshments are included throughout the course free of charge.

Cancellation of the course

6.1       F. Ball and Co. Ltd. have the right to cancel or arrange an alternative date for any course. Where this does occur, F. Ball will endeavour to provide as much notice of cancellation or change to the attendee as possible.

6.2       The attendee may cancel the course at any point by notifying F. Ball and Co. Ltd. by email to training@f-ball.co.uk , by phone or by the website booking system. Cancellations should be notified no less than 7 days prior to a course date in order that released places can be filled from the waiting list.

Supply of the training

7.1       F. Ball and Co. Ltd. shall use all reasonable endeavours to supply the training in accordance with these Terms and Conditions in all material respects.

7.2       We reserve the right to change the course content of any training course at any time and without notice.

Conditions for the delegate

8.1       You shall provide F. Ball and Co. Ltd. with any such information as they may reasonably require in order to supply the course, and ensure that such information is complete and accurate.

8.2       You shall co-operate with F. Ball and Co. Ltd. in all matters relating to the course and these Terms and Conditions.

8.3       You shall be responsible for and (if you are a business) agree to indemnify us in respect of, any loss, damage or injury caused to the property of us, our employees or any third party by the conduct, act or omission of your Delegate(s).

8.4      Delegates are not allowed to bring the following on to our premises.
– Alcohol or any illegal substances; or
– Any object that could be used to threaten or injure another person (including any knife or other type of sharply bladed or pointed object, not directly connected to the installation of floorcoverings, or gun or other firearm).  All tools and materials required will be supplied by F. Ball unless by prior arrangement.

8.5       Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited and only allowed in the designated smoking shelter.

8.6       We shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused to a Delegate’s vehicle on our premises unless caused by our wilful misconduct.

8.7       Car speed Limit of a maximum of 10mph should always be adhered to when on the F. Ball site.

8.8       Aggression towards our staff or other delegates will not be tolerated and any such action will result in immediate expulsion from site.

Limitation of liability

9.1       Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits any liability which cannot legally be limited, including but not limited to, liability for:

death or personal injury caused by negligence;

fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; and

breach of the terms implied by section 2 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 (title and quiet possession).

9.2       We shall not be liable to you and/or a Delegate for any loss or damage to property caused by an event outside our reasonable control (including the misconduct or negligence of another Delegate). Delegates are recommended to have insurance in place to cover loss, damage or theft of their personal effects and money.

9.3       Subject to clause 9.1, F. Ball and Co. Ltd. shall not be liable for any loss of profits, loss of business, loss of income, depletion of goodwill and/or similar losses or loss or corruption of data or information, or pure economic loss, or for any special, indirect or consequential loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses however arising.

10        Your personal information

8.1      We will use any personal information you provide to us (including when booking a Course or during our provision of services to you) for the purpose of delivering our training courses and any subsequent communications. This information will be retained within our CRM system in accordance with our GDPR policy.

8.2       Photographs may be taken during courses and used on social media, on our website or promotional literature. Should you wish to withdraw your consent for use of such photography you must advise the course instructor upon arrival.

11       Intellectual Property

9.1       All intellectual property rights arising from the delivery of our courses shall remain with F. Ball and Co. Ltd.

9.2       The reproduction of any materials is strictly forbidden, unless expressly authorised by F. Ball and Co. Ltd.

9.3       Photography and video recordings by delegates should only be undertaken and shared publicly with the express permission of the course instructor and other delegates.

Confidentiality

12.1     Each party undertakes that it shall not disclose to any third party any confidential information concerning the business, affairs, customers, clients or suppliers of the other party.

12.2     Neither party shall use the other party’s confidential information for any purpose other than to perform its obligations under this Agreement.

12.3     A party may disclose confidential information to the extent such confidential information is required to be disclosed by law, any governmental or regulatory authority or by a court or other authority of competent jurisdiction.
