Business Development Manager – Australia

 F. Ball and Co. Ltd. is the UK’s market leading manufacturer of flooring adhesives and floor preparation products, with an expanding global presence. 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record of successfully developing new markets to support our brand expansion into the Australasian market, ideally based within a commutable distance of Sydney. 

Job Description:

You will be responsible for: 

• Collaborating with our senior management team to develop and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan throughout the region. 
• Establishing brand presence and product awareness throughout the Australian market by developing a strong distributor network and customer base. 
• Researching and analysing market opportunities, identifying potential customers, developing business proposals, and negotiating business agreements. 
• Providing accurate customer, competitor, and market intelligence feedback to the management team to aid the business development plan progression. 
• Managing and delivering sales forecast budgets and actual sales within the agreed overhead budgets. 

Ideal candidate: 

You will need to be a strategic thinker who is highly driven and passionate about the flooring industry, with relevant experience and a strong understanding of the market. 

You should possess a sales or business management degree or be able to demonstrate the required skills from previous sales or business development roles. 

Good organisational skills are essential along with the ability to build professional relationships with customers, influencers, industry associations and floorcovering manufacturers.
