Styccobond B95 used to refurbish residential Victorian property

High performance Styccobond B95 flexible wood flooring adhesive from F. Ball and Co. Ltd. has been used to install parquet herringbone wood block flooring in the refurbishment of a residential Victorian property in Grantham, Lincolnshire.

Lambourn Flooring & Interiors, of Lincolnshire, was contracted to install the 100m2 of wood flooring in the property that had been totally stripped and boarded over with flooring grade plywood.

To install the parquet herringbone wood flooring, Lambourn Flooring & Interiors used Styccobond B95 flexible wood flooring adhesive, on the plywood boards. Styccobond B95, is a high performance, one part, flexible, moisture curing polyurethane adhesive used for installing a wide range of wood floorcoverings. It is non-flammable and is quick setting to develop a high bond strength. It is protected against bio-degradation and is suitable for use over normal underfloor heating.

Matt Blackbourn of Lambourn Flooring & Interiors, said: “We use F. Ball products on every single flooring installation that we do; they’re tried and tested and always allow us to create a professional and aesthetically pleasing floor finish. Using Styccobond B95 in this Victorian property enabled us to create an impressive flooring that our client was very pleased with.”

Styccobond B95 can be used for securing engineered boards (semi-solids) and a wide range of plank and wood strip flooring up to a maximum length of 1.5 metres.

Styccobond B95 can be applied to Stopgap smoothing underlayments, structurally sound, smooth, dry subfloors of concrete, sand/cement screed and plywood (Minimum 6mm flooring grade WBP). It can also be applied directly to Stopgap waterproof surface membranes within 24 hours of the membrane curing.

Due to advances in polymer technology, F. Ball have recently reformulated B95 and it now uses an enhanced blend of polymers, which has further improved its performance.
