Product focus: Styccobond F46

The go-to adhesive for LVTs in the spotlight.

What is it?

Styccobond F46 is a solvent-free pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive for installing a wide range of PVC sheet and tile floorcoverings. It provides a strong initial tack, making it ideal for creating complex designs and patterns, including where Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVTs) are used. It also has a high bond strength, which increases as it is trafficked.

Where is it used?

The adhesive is used for securing vinyl floorcoverings to Stopgap smoothing compounds, structurally sound, smooth, and dry subfloors of concrete, sand/cement screeds, plywood, flooring grade chipboard and hardboard. It can also be used to adhere resilient floorcoverings directly onto non-absorbent surfaces, including epoxy waterproof surface membranes.

What’s different about it?

It is used to reduce the incidence of trowel serrations showing through thin vinyl floorcoverings. It also has an indefinite open time, reducing the risk of late placement.

It is also protected against biodegradation and suitable for use over normal underfloor heating installations.
