Leek Town F.C. Community Day
F. Ball was delighted to host a day of family fun at the recent Leek Town F.C. Community Day, celebrating a shared commitment to the local area and a passion for grassroots football.
The event offered a variety of activities for supporters of all ages, including the ‘Stopgap Shootout’, where junior players put their skills to the test in a high-stakes penalty challenge.
There was also a prize draw to win a £150 voucher for a meal at The Flintlock restaurant, along with giveaways, including a signed Leek Town shirt, VIP matchday hospitality experience and a range of F. Ball merchandise.
In the afternoon, Leek Town also secured a 1–0 victory over Prescot Cables.
The association between Leek Town F.C. and F. Ball goes back many years. F. Ball became the club’s main sponsor, at the beginning of the 23/24 season, a partnership that has seen the club’s ground become known as the F. Ball Community Stadium.
Support enabled the club to progress its 3G pitch project, which has enhanced its operations, and the company’s products were used to refurbish the clubhouse.
Family values
F. Ball remains a family-run business after 140 years. As such, we are able to retain traditional values, including playing a beneficial role in the community in which we operate, values that we know are also important to Leek Town.
This community consciousness extends to supporting local sports teams, including Leek Town F. C.
F. Ball managing director, Darren Kenyon, explains: “We believe that we have a duty to have a positive impact on the community in which we operate. Grassroots clubs are a vital part of our national footballing heritage and cornerstones of communities, with histories that are intertwined with the places they are situated. We are therefore delighted to continue our longstanding support of our local team.”
