General Purpose Floor Smoothing Compound
STOPGAP GREEN BAG is a fast setting, general purpose smoothing compound suitable for use in light to heavy-duty applications for preparing sound subfloors prior to the installation of new floorcoverings. It has a low odour and is suitable for use in clinical and biologically sensitive areas such as hospitals, laboratories, and clean rooms.
STOPGAP GREEN BAG maintains excellent dimensional stability which enhances durability and long-term performance. It comes as a pre-blended dry powder and liquid designed for application between 3 – 20mm.
Our general purpose smoothing compound has a fast setting formula and excellent self-smoothing properties, guaranteed to give excellent results. It has a quick walk-on-hard time from 90 minutes at 20°C.
When using STOPGAP GREEN BAG, liquid selection is key. If you’re working over absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces, you can use the STOPGAP 114 Liquid without the need to prime. When applied at a 3mm thickness, floorcoverings can be laid from 12 hours (temperature dependent).
Alternatively, you can apply STOPGAP GREEN BAG with our STOPGAP 128 Liquid over absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces when primed with STOPGAP P131 or P121. This allows floorcoverings to be laid from 24 hours at a 3mm thickness (temperature dependent).

STOPGAP GREEN BAG is suitable for use over absorbent and non-absorbent subfloors and can be used for patch filling timber floors prior to overlaying with plywood. STOPGAP GREEN BAG is also suitable for application over absorbent uneven concrete and sand/cement screeds, prior to application of STOPGAP waterproof surface membranes or <a href=”https://f-ball.com/en/product/stopgap-isolator-membrane/”>STOPGAP ISOLATOR MEMBRANE.
