Primer for Non-Absorbent Surfaces
STOPGAP P141 is an acrylic primer specifically designed to promote adhesion and application characteristics of STOPGAP smoothing compounds on non-absorbent subfloors. Formulated with a recylced uPVC puvler, STOPGAP P141 dries to a hard, textured surface, significantly enhancing bond strength and long term performance.
STOPGAP P141 is fast drying and easy to apply, making it an ideal primer for installers who require an efficient solution for subfloor preparation. The primer is yellow in colour, allowing for clear visual control during the application process to ensure consistent and even coverage. On non-absorbent subfloors at 20°C, STOPGAP P141 has a drying time from 15 minutes to ensure a high-performing, primed floor with minimal downtime.
This primer meets the standards of the International Maritime Organisation for use in marine and offshore environments. It is also suitable for use over number underfloor heating systems. This makes it ideal for use in new builds and modern renovation projects.
STOPGAP P141 maintains its effectiveness with a shelf life of 12 months in unopened containers stored in good conditions. This makes it a reliable primer for both current and future flooring projects.

STOPGAP P141 AREAS OF USE
STOPGAP P141 is recommended for use over non-absorbent surfaces such as ceramic tiles, treated power floated concrete and STOPGAP waterproof surface membranes. STOPGAP P141 is also recommended prior to the application of <a href=”https://f-ball.com/en/product/stopgap-600-deep-section-base-compound/”>STOPGAP 600 over non-absorbent surfaces when applied at thicknesses greater than 20mm.
It is suitable for use over normal underfloor heating and is pigmented yellow for visual control of coverage uniformity.
