Floor Smoothing Compound
STOPGAP RED BAG is a floor smoothing compound suitable that delivers an excellent self-levelling solution to preparing sound absorbent subfloors prior to the installation of new floorcoverings, including LVTs. Flooring contractors use this compound in light to medium-duty internal applications, which includes biologically sensitive areas such as hospitals, thanks to its low-odour, protein-free formula. STOPGAP RED BAG’s design allows users to apply it over concrete, sand and cement screeds and other solid absorbent surfaces.
With a walk-on-hard time of just 3 hours, and the ability to receive floorcoverings from 24 hours (dependent on temperature), installers are able to complete projects with a quick turnover and a high-quality finish.
This floor smoothing compound also maintains excellent dimensional stability to ensure long-lasting performance and a smooth finish. It comes as a pre-blended, dry powder, requiring only the addition of water. It is designed for application thickness from 3 to 10mm and can be filled up to 15mm.
Being a water-mix smoothing compound, STOPGAP RED BAG does not require a bottle. This helps the flooring industry to product less plastic waste, supporting more sustainable flooring installation.
