Stopgap P121

Acrylic Primer

STOPGAP P121 is a specially formulated, acrylic floor primer designed to promote the application characteristics of STOPGAP 1100, and other suitable STOPGAP smoothing compounds, to calcium sulphate screeds, including anhydrite. It plays an essential part in preventing unacceptably rapid drying of both adhesives and smoothing compounds. This helps to ensure a smooth, long-lasting finish.

Our acrylic floor primer is blue in colour, providing the user with clear coverage control and visual uniformity when applying to the subfloor. This makes it easier for installers to monitor consistency and avoid missed areas during priming.

STOPGAP P121 is non-flammable and suitable for use over normal underfloor heating installations, making it a safe and reliable choice for modern renovation projects. This acrylic primer is quick drying with first coat approximately ready in a drying time of 15 to 30 minutes. Whereas for the second coat, users must allow 30 minutes before proceeding with the smoothing compound application. It must be applied onto a suitably prepared, smooth, dry subfloor.

STOPGAP P121 maintains its effectiveness with a shelf life of 12 months in unopened containers stored in good conditions. This makes it a reliable primer for both current and future flooring projects.
