Exterior Resurfacing Compound
STOPGAP 850 is a non-structural exterior resurfacing compound designed for use in light to medium duty applications. It smooths and levels rough or mechanically damaged concrete, sand and cement screeds, deliverable a durable, high-quality finish. You can also leave STOPGAP 850 as a stand-alone exterior wearing surface.
Our exterior resurfacing compound is resistant to water and frost once fully cured. This makes it ideally suited for smoothing external areas such as balconies, patios and garages. It is applies in thicknesses between 5-15mm.
To achieve a more natural surface finish and to reduce the potential for slipping, apply a scratch coat to the surface and brush finish it to a textured profile. You can also pump apply STOPGAP 850 up to 900m² per day, dependent upon manpower, thickness and equipment.
It has a walk on time from just 2 hours and can be sealed from 24 hours, ensuring jobs can be carried out quickly and efficiently with little downtime. STOPGAP 850 is fully compatible for use underneath our STOPGAP Waterproof Surface Membranes and STOPGAP Isolator Membrane, providing a seamless system for flooring installations.

STOPGAP 850 AREAS OF USE
STOPGAP 850 is suited for smoothing areas such as balconies, patios, garages and walkways. It is unaffected by rain or frost when dried. It is also suitable for smoothing subfloors prior to the application of a suitable non-slip coating or external covering such as artificial grass.
STOPGAP 850 is also suitable for internal application over damp, uneven concrete and sand/cement screeds, prior to application of STOPGAP Waterproof Surface Membranes and STOPGAP Isolator Membrane.
