High Performance, Water-Mix Smoothing Compound
STOPGAP 1500 is a fast setting, fast drying, water-mix smoothing compound suitable for preparing sound internal subfloors prior to the installation of new floorcoverings.
STOPGAP 1500 can be applied directly over old adhesive residues such as bitumen and carpet tile tackifiers without the need for priming. STOPGAP 1500 can be used for patch filling timber floors prior to overlaying with plywood. It is suitable for use in clinical and biologically sensitive areas such as hospitals, laboratories, clean rooms etc.
STOPGAP 1500 is moisture tolerant which makes it suitable for application over damp, clean, uneven concrete screeds, prior to the application of STOPGAP waterproof surface membranes.
STOPGAP 1500 can also be applied over other subfloor types including STOPGAP waterproof surface membranes, concrete, autoclaved aerated concrete, fibre cement sheet conforming to AS/NZS 2908.2, HP MDF conforming to AS/NZS 1859.2, Hardboard underlay conforming to AS/NZS 21854.9, Plywood underlay grade C conforming to AS/NZS 2269.0 steel, old vinyl asbestos tiles, epoxy and polyurethane resins, ceramic and quarry tiles.
- Suitable direct to adhesive residues, carpet tile tackifier and waterproof surface membranes, when applied from 2-10mm.

STOPGAP 1500 can be applied over a wide range of subfloor types including STOPGAP waterproof surface membranes, sand/cement screed, concrete, granolithic, terrazzo, asphalt, steel, old vinyl asbestos tiles, epoxy and polyurethane resins, ceramic and quarry tiles.
