Product Focus: Styccobond F41

In the latest in our series of product spotlights, we take a look at Styccobond F41.

What is it?
Styccobond F41 is a solvent free acrylic adhesive used with ‘loose-lay’ carpet tiles to prevent them from moving under normal foot traffic.

Where is it used?
It is designed for use over a variety of surfaces including smoothing underlayments, concrete and sand/cement screeds and plywood, as well as over non-absorbent subfloors such as Stopgap waterproof surface membranes and raised access flooring panels.

What’s different about it?
Unlike most adhesives, Styccobond F41 provides a permanently tacky film, when applied, to secure carpet tiles when in use, but also enables them to be lifted and replaced easily when required.

Why was it introduced?
Often, high traffic areas such as schools and offices need to replace individual damaged or worn carpet tiles, rather than replacing the whole floor, and the previously available adhesives did not provide this flexibility. Styccobond F41’s ability to allow individual tiles to be replaced makes this problem a thing of the past.

Something you might not know about the product.
Styccobond F41 is now available in a 15L rectangular bucket which allows the roller to be dipped in the bucket, offering greater convenience and less waste.
