Intafloors Visit

Directors from Australia’s largest flooring products wholesaler, Intafloors, were hosted at F. Ball’s headquarters in Cheddleton, Staffordshire.

A tour of the Cheddleton manufacturing facilities and development laboratories enabled directors to witness the state-of-the-art production and product testing operations that underpin the quality of F. Ball products and learn more about marketing and sales support available in Australia.

They also met key personnel from technical service, marketing, sales, accounts and operations departments, as well as Geoffrey Ball, the great grandson of Francis Ball, who founded the company in 1886.

An importer of F. Ball products, Intafloors has eighteen distribution depots around the country, with significant potential to support expansion into the market.

Commenting on the visit, F. Ball managing director Darren Kenyon said: “We were delighted to welcome the Intafloors directors to the UK. It was an excellent opportunity to showcase the quality and technical innovation that is behind our products. This partnership is very important for our expansion in the Australian market, and their enthusiasm for our brand is exciting.”

Campbell Dunn of Intafloors said: “I’m very excited about F. Ball products in Australia, particularly Styccobond adhesives and Stopgap 1500 smoothing compound. Their performance characteristics set them apart in the floor preparation market and create significant new opportunities.”

As part of ongoing technical support, F. Ball head of training Tim Green is now organising training sessions for the Intafloor team in Australia.
