Jenny Wins Top Adhesives Accolade

F. Ball's safety, health, environment and quality assurance (SHEQ) manager has been recognised for services to the adhesives and sealants industry, receiving the Max Kochmann Award from the British Adhesives & Sealants Association (BASA).

Jenny has been an active member of the BASA and working groups for more than 16 years, starting as a member of the Health and Safety working group, progressing to leading groups, including chairing Environment and Sustainability, before becoming vice-chair of the council. Together with her colleagues in technical committees, she has been instrumental in helping to drive the BASA technical programme, identifying how to support its members.

The accolade is named in memory of one of BASA’s founders and former life president Max Kochmann and is awarded each year to an individual or company for outstanding services.

With over 20 years’ experience in the adhesives industry, including more than 15 years working in health, safety and environmental management, she has a passion for sustainability and manufacturing. At F. Ball, she is responsible for compliance with standards, making sure that products are of a consistently high quality, as well as ensuring the health and safety of employees and everyone who interacts with the business, and protecting the environment.

The award was presented to Jenny at the association’s annual general meeting by chair Carol Merrin.

Commenting on the receipt of the award, Jenny said: “I’m delighted to be presented with the Max Kochmann award. As vice-chair of the council, I hope to be able to provide the same welcome, advice and support to new working group members and leaders that I have received over the years. Over this time, I’ve learned a great amount about the industry from experts, and I’m a proud advocate for the work that BASA undertakes through its consultants, committees and working groups, so this award means a lot to me both professionally and personally.”
