Product Focus: Stopgap F77

Stopgap F77 high performance waterproof surface membrane - one coat application system.

In every issue, we shine the spotlight on some of our most popular products. This month, we take a look at Stopgap F77.

What is it?
Stopgap F77 is a solvent free one coat, two-part epoxy resin system which cures to provide a waterproof surface membrane on surfaces with Relative Humidity (RH) levels of up to 98%.

Where is it used?
It is used over surfaces containing excess subfloor moisture that must be sealed prior to the installation of floorcoverings, as well as in new builds where the concrete has not had sufficient time to dry naturally. It can also be used over clean, absorbent substrates in internal areas where excess moisture has been detected up to 98% RH.

What’s different about it?
Stopgap F77 is pigmented black to allow the user to visually control the uniformity of the coverage during application. It also offers an accelerated curing time of approximately three hours.

Why was it introduced?
Stopgap F77 was introduced to allow early installation of floorcoverings in fast-track new build programmes, without having to wait for the concrete subfloor to dry, and provides excellent moisture protection to areas subjected to high levels of damp or where a large amount of excess moisture is present.

Something you might not know about the product
With a single coat application, Stopgap F77 can be used to impede the passage of excess moisture over underfloor heating screeds with RH readings of up to 90%.
