Why it works: Styccobond F57 conductive acrylic adhesive

What is Styccobond F57 and why does it work?

What is it?

Styccobond F57 is a solvent free, fibre filled acrylic conductive adhesive, which is designed to give a high bond strength, strong initial tack, long open time and good plasticiser resistance.

Where is it needed?

Styccobond F57 is designed for use under conductive flooring to allow the passage of electrical charge between the floorcovering and subfloor, for example in areas used for electrics assembly.

Styccobond F57 can be used for securing a wide range of conductive/antistatic PVC and some textile backed floorcoverings. It can be applied to Stopgap smoothing underlayments, structurally sound, smooth, dry subfloors of concrete and sand/cement screed and flooring grade plywood.

Why does it work?

Styccobond F57 has conductive fibres within it. When the conductive fibres come into contact with carbon in floorcoverings, it dissipates static electricity and allows the passage of current.
