Held for the first time via video link, the awards were hosted by former world snooker champion John Parrott, and the online format enabled ‘attendees’ to enjoy the ceremony from the comfort of their own homes. In addition to learning of F. Ball’s win, viewers were treated to a number of impressive trick shots, delivered by John on his personal snooker table at his Liverpool home.
Run as a joint venture between Contract Flooring Association (CFA) and its official magazine, CFJ, the awards celebrate excellence in flooring, recognising the industry’s best products and installation successes, across a number of categories.
The Adhesives Manufacturer of the Year award commends both the range and performance of F. Ball’s adhesives, which includes products for almost every type of decorative floorcoverings, including textile, resilient and wood, as well as specialist adhesives, such as temperature tolerant, pressure sensitive, conductive and tackifier adhesives.
F. Ball continuously researches and develops its products to enhance its range and help flooring professionals meet increasing customer expectations, including creating adhesives with revolutionary combinations of properties.
For example, the latest advancements in adhesives technology have enabled F. Ball to create Styccobond F73 PLUS, a moisture-curing, solvent-free adhesive for internal and external heavy-duty applications, including areas that will be subject to heavy loads and high foot traffic, as well as surface water. It offers high initial grab and, once cured, it is resistant to water, oil and grease. The one-part adhesive is also easier to apply and faster curing compared to traditional epoxy and polyurethane alternatives, requiring as little as 90 minutes to secure floorcoverings.
