Flooring Apprentice of the Year 2018

Flooring Apprentice of the Year 2017: Alistair Craig of Lynas Carpets in Hamilton, Scotland
The CFA/CFJ Flooring Apprentice of the Year competition 2018 is now open for entries.

Apprentices can enter themselves or be nominated by their college tutor or employer via the CFA’s website. They just have to be enrolled on a registered apprenticeship scheme.

F. Ball is reaffirming its commitment to inspiring the flooring contractors of the future by sponsoring the competition for a sixth consecutive year.

The winner will receive specialist flooring equipment and clothing worth over £3,000 together with £1,000 in cash. They will also be subject of a two page feature in CFJ.

The closing date for entries is 28th February 2018, after which applications will be judged by a panel of CFA council members. The winner will be invited, along with their employer and tutor, to attend a presentation ceremony at the FITA training centre in Loughborough.

Richard Harris, Marketing Manager at F. Ball and Co. Ltd. said, “We are committed to supporting the next generation of flooring contractors by encouraging young people to consider a career in the industry. Celebrating the work of talented young apprentices is a great way of doing this, and we are delighted to be sponsoring the Flooring Apprentice of the Year competition for a sixth year.”
