The new development, located just minutes away from F. Ball’s Staffordshire manufacturing base, is extending the company’s ability to maintain its next day delivery guarantee as demand for products continues to grow.
It provides an additional 2,000 pallet spaces and is fully integrated into the company’s computerised management information system by a secure virtual private network. As a result, despatch of next day orders can be seamlessly shared between the two sites, enabling simultaneous distribution of the full range of F. Ball products from both locations.
Commenting on the new warehousing facility, F. Ball Managing Director, Mark Hughes said: “As well as providing greater flexibility and efficiency, the new warehousing will enable us to accommodate medium term growth and also ensure we can meet our delivery commitments at times of peak demand.”
