Product Focus: Styccobond F3

Shining the spotlight on the F. Ball classic, Styccobond F3, the UK’s most used flooring adhesive.

What is it?

With over 40 years on the market – albeit reformulated during that time to keep pace with contemporary flooring and environmental demands – Styccobond F3 is recognised as the UK’s most used flooring adhesive. It is a water-based rubber/resin flooring adhesive which offers excellent web grab and benefits from an early build up of strength.

Where is it used?

It can be used for securing fibre-bonded carpets, hessian, felt, secondary latex and rubber foam backed carpets and cork tiles up to 3.2mm thick. It can also be applied to Stopgap smoothing underlayments and Stopgap waterproof surface membranes and some non-absorbent subfloors, such as power floated concrete and terrazzo.

Styccobond F3 is also approved for marine flooring installations.

What’s different about it?

Unlike most adhesives on the market, Styccobond F3 flooring adhesive is compatible for use with over 70% of the 5,500 floorcoverings in the F. Ball Recommended Adhesives Guide (RAG).

Something you might not know about the product:

Styccobond F3 adhesive is protected against biodegradation and is suitable for use over normal underfloor heating installations.
